Accessibility Statement

Last updated: July 10, 2026

Your Hastings Dentist is committed to ensuring our services and our website are accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We strive to provide care and information in a way that respects the dignity and independence of every patient, consistent with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Ontario Human Rights Code.

Our website

We aim to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. In practice, this means we work to provide:

  • Text that is readable and resizable, with sufficient colour contrast;
  • Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images;
  • Keyboard-navigable menus, links, and forms;
  • A clear, consistent page structure that works with screen readers.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We test and improve the site over time, and some content may not yet fully meet every guideline. If you encounter a barrier, please tell us — your feedback directly helps us fix it.

Accessibility at our clinic

We want your visit to be comfortable and barrier-free. If you need an accommodation — such as assistance in the office, extra time, communication support, or information in an alternative format — please let us know when you book, and we will do our best to arrange it.

Feedback and requesting accommodations

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our website and our services, and we respond to requests for accommodation as promptly as possible. You can reach us at:

When you contact us, please describe the barrier or the accommodation you need and how you would like us to respond. Information about our services is available in accessible formats and with communication supports on request.

Continuous improvement

We review our accessibility practices regularly and update this statement as our website and services evolve. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
